ABOUT

Florida has been identified as one of the leading states in anti-trafficking efforts. With Florida ranking third in the U.S. for the number of human trafficking cases, it is vital that we continue to support these efforts.
Although Florida has been a leader in responding to human trafficking, there remains a critical lack of data available.
In May 2023, Governor DeSantis signed SB 7064, which authorizes the USF TIP Lab to create the Statewide Repository for Anonymous Human Trafficking Data and mandates that state agencies share human trafficking incidence data with the USF TIP Lab.
Dr. Joan Reid’s unified data will address this data gap, providing Florida with a comprehensive and accurate picture of human trafficking incidents, hotspots and trends. Transforming data into knowledge brings value to the State’s anti-human trafficking effort including the development of a cohesive, concerted, and data-driven anti-human trafficking plan.
